While I am still doubtful about my chances of success here, there is no need not to approach this differently than any other assignment so far. First of all, getting really familiar with the brief and deciding what comes easy to me and what will be challenging. Where I need to put the extra work in and what I already know how to do. I think this should be like the first thing you are told once you start University - make sure you are aware of the requirements of a project. My approach has always been to do more where possible, I am here to give it my best after all, but never less than what the brief is asking from me. So here they are. Let's hope that by the time I finish this assignment I would have managed to tick all the boxes.

Once I am aware what I need to do, I like to prepare, to make a plan. It is obvious to me that I lack the technical knowledge to do this project. It has been made clear to us that we can work with templates but for me, if I dont understand at least how HTML works, as a coding process and language, this will be still useless. I need to know how everything functions before I even start attempting to produce a website.
Although the technical skill are obviously essential for this assignment, another aspect is equally important - the concept of my website. It has to be personal, but also professional, it has to showcase my cultural background, or aspect of my life I want to present, or something of importance to me. But, future employers might be looking at this website. I understand the idea, yet I would have preferred that the assignment was left unchanged from last year, where it was more personal and you had to present yourself without the added pressure of making it look professional, and adding CV to your website. It is what it is though, so I will figure it out. I think this is the moment when I have to decide where I want to start from - getting creative about it and focusing on my concept or first trying to learn as much as possible of the technical side of things.
And the winner is HTML/CSS learning. This might seem like I am turning the natural order backwards, where you first have the concept and then try to figure out how you are executing it, but for me this makes sense. I cannot focus on any concept and start planning the website content, without being even remotely aware what my technical skills will actually allow me to do. This has always been how I function - I need to know how things work, I need to understand the process and I need to be aware what I am doing every step of the way. Otherwise I will end up with a concept that I have no idea how to execute. In other words - LinkedIn Learning, here I come! I used the tutorials there a lot last year. I found them quite well structured and extremely helpful, so this will be my first stop on this journey.
